Many dogs facing medical issues or disabilities often have a hard life. Some pet owners may choose not to care for these dogs, leading to situations where they are abandoned or euthanized. However, with proper love and care, these dogs can enjoy life just like any other dog if they are not suffering. A heartwarming example of this is Moose, a disabled dog who got a second chance and is now thriving as “the happiest dog in the world.”
Moose, who has a permanent smile and a noticeable underbite, was found by a woman named Jennifer Osborne in a pet store in 2016. Moose’s unusual appearance is due to a congenital brain abnormality, a condition where parts of his brain are missing. Jennifer learned that while Moose was in the womb, his nose was pushed into his skull, leading to his distinctive features such as the crooked nose, underbite, and distorted skull and brain.

Jennifer immediately fell in love with Moose and was determined to prevent him from being euthanized due to his medical conditions. She decided to adopt him, knowing that his health issues would require constant attention and care.
Caring for Moose brought on many challenges. He experiences convulsions that affect his body and brain, causing him to foam at the mouth and twitch. An MRI revealed that Moose is missing parts of his brain and has a cyst where his sinuses and forehead should be. Despite this, the rest of his brain is intact, and his neurologist described Moose’s condition as unique.

Jennifer learned that Moose will have seizures for life, but these can be managed with medication and don’t affect his lifespan. She feels blessed to have Moose in her life and is prepared to face any challenges his condition may bring. Despite everything, Moose is energetic and full of life.
In an interview with Metro, Jennifer said, “We’re quite lucky Moose survived, given everything that’s happened to him. In every way, he is a marvel.” His wide smile and joyful demeanor show his appreciation for each day.

Jennifer also expressed, “He’s fantastic and a blessing in my life. I’m glad he’s my dog because he’s the happiest dog I’ve ever met.”
It’s heartening to see Moose thriving and living a joyful life. Follow his adventures on Instagram to keep up with his journey and be inspired by his resilience and happiness! Spread this uplifting story and share the joy.
