He quickly adjusted to his new environment, where he formed a close bond with Honey Bee. This fellow blind cat, who had been rescued from Fiji in 2014, guided Fig as he settled into his new life.

Sabrina, Fig’s adoptive mother, shared that she named him after the fig fruit, which is celebrated for its distinctive and intriguing qualities. While Fig’s blindness sets him apart, it didn’t stop him from behaving like any typical playful kitten.
Though their lives were filled with joy, the family experienced a poignant loss when Honey Bee passed away in 2020.
Her adventurous spirit and sweet nature inspired many, earning her a feature in a children’s magazine and a million views on YouTube.

Determined to honor Honey Bee’s memory, Sabrina and her family decided to continue rescuing cats. This mission led them to Lychee, a kitten rescuing from Florida who is both blind and deaf.
Inspired by tropical fruits once more, Lychee found her name and a loving home with Sabrina.
When Lychee first arrived, she met Fig only after a week-long introduction through a pet fence, allowing them to gradually get used to each other. Once they became acquainted, the two formed a fast friendship, playing and snuggling together.

Lychee, fondly dubbed the ‘Queen of Smells,’ delights in the fragrances wafting through open windows, relying on her acute sense of smell to explore the world. Meanwhile, Fig enjoys cozying up in unexpected places like grocery bags and backpacks.
The feline family eventually relocated from Seattle to Thailand, embarking on a new adventure. Fig followed in Honey Bee’s footsteps, sharpening his hunting skills in his new environment.

However, Lychee encountered a challenge when a startled visit from their landlord, who carried the scent of a dog, triggered her anxiety.
Sabrina began administering anti-anxiety medication, which helped greatly, demonstrating that mental health care is as vital for cats as it is for humans.
Fans and admirers can keep up with Fig and Lychee’s ongoing adventures on their social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Their endearing bond and resilience continue to inspire audiences worldwide.
