Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson recently opened up about her highly publicized dispute with Disney over the release of her Marvel film “Black Widow.”

The 38-year-old star took issue with the studio’s decision to launch the movie on Disney+ rather than exclusively in theaters, which allegedly violated her contract and impacted her earnings.

Johansson discussed the conflict in a recent interview with Variety, explaining that speaking out was necessary. The situation gained public attention, leading to widespread fans and strangers’ support.

Johansson mentioned, “I couldn’t even walk through a restaurant without somebody saying, ‘Good for you. Stand up for yourself.’ I could see that it had a bigger impact.”

Although the lawsuit was settled in 2021, Johansson and Disney seem to be on good terms again, as she’s now involved in a new project with the studio—”The Tower of Terror,” a film adaptation of the famous ride at their US theme park.

Johansson also made headlines for a recent interview with Gwyneth Paltrow on her Goop podcast. During the conversation, Paltrow mistakenly stated that Johansson had been married twice, but Johansson corrected her, reminding her that her marriage to Ryan Reynolds was brief but memorable. Johansson and Reynolds tied the knot in 2008 and divorced in 2011.
